Patricia Lindley (PAC, VACS)
Pat has been creating art for over 30 years. After participating in the Introductory Design program at the Nova Scotia College of Art, she worked as a technical illustrator at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. She then followed a programme of art training that enabled her to be active in art while raising a family. She now devotes herself full-time to making art and in 2015 graduated from NSCAD University with a Visual Arts Certificate in Studio.
Her work has featured in two solo, and numerous group exhibitions. Since 2011, she has participated in 16-juried events. Since 2011, she has served on the Board of the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts and has participated as an artist in numerous Festival events.
In 2015, she achieved Signature status with the Pastel Artists of Canada and she was recently accepted as an Active member with the Federation of Canadian Artists. Currently she is a participant in an international art exchange project with a group of Danish artists: ‘Roerpost’, along with 24 other Nova Scotia Artists.
Her work is representational and her primary medium is dry pastel. She also produces relief prints, oil paint frottage works and watercolour pieces. She specializes in boat portraits, landscapes and seascapes of Atlantic Canada.
